Open Post: Arriving with a BANG!

Kazumi serious
It was a pretty typical moment in the little hotel, the usual chaos going on around the place. Genma was a guest himself, so he didn't particularly have much need to behave properly, except for the possibility of Iruka kicking his ass if he didn't.

And Tomas, well, Tomas had simply never really learned the meaning of the word 'proper'.

The two came walking through the lobby together, looking odd walking side-by-side, the childish little blue-haired boy so much smaller than Genma, the rock star dressed so much more sloppily in baggy jeans and a t-shirt to fit with the younger man's neat khakis and fussy pink button-up.

"I am not going to take naughty pictures with you to show off to your friends, for the last time, Tomas!"

The younger man made rude gestures and shook his head. "But it's not like I'd make you actually do anything! And it's not like I'd let anyone publish the things or something!"

"That's not the point, Tomas! Now drop it before I tell Iruka what a freak you're being! Perv!"

Tomas growled, Genma snarled, and the next thing anyone watching could see, the young man was flinging himself at his companion, teeth bared and small arms grasping for purchase.

The red-eye train from Okayama to Tokyo was, as always, overly crowded and whoever the hell thought it was a good idea to put Kazumi right beside some screaming, whining, crying toddler was a complete moron. Though she did take a small bit of pleasure out of scaring the shit out of the mother and the little brat - they both shut-up fairly quickly after all. Well, except for the whispered whining, but that was still better than those fake tears.

They'd messed up her rental - tried to give her a damned compact little sports car, when she's asked for an all-wheel drive SUV. Then it took the incompetant fool another hour to get her the correct vehicle.

Thus, she was not exactly in the most charitable of moods when she walked into the front door of the Onsen where her new charge was staying, only to see said charge being attacked. The moment the young man lunged at Genma, and she had no doubt he was the proper target, her bags hit the floor, and with a short dash, she'd swept the younger man's feet out from under him, planted her knee in between his shoulder blades, and had her pistol trained on the back of his head. "This, Shiranui-sama, is why you are not supposed to go anywhere without a bodyguard. I believe your manager tried to explain this to you."

Tomas went limp beneath the woman, his mind spinning. At least she wasn't holding a knife to his throat; that would have definitely made him piss his pants, considering the long scar already there. As it was, the gun at the back of his head was definitely not appreciated, and he felt a little as if he might throw up.

"Gen! What the fuck? Make her let me up!" he called, though he didn't dare move, not a muscle.

The older man was busy staring at the whole mess for another second, and then he was moving. He'd registered what the woman said, and it didn't take much to sort out that apparently she was some new bodyguard for him, but he was too busy worrying about his young friend's wellbeing to care at the moment.

He stepped closer, and his hand whipped out to grab her hair, jerking her head back. "Get that fucking gun away from my friend, this second, or you're going to eat it." His voice came out cool, and he was reminded of those moments years ago, before college, before Brilliant Haze, when he'd said similar things before, in far less friendly circumstances.

Instinct had her ready to fight - to disable the person who dared touch her hair, but since that person was also the one she was hired to protect...that probably wasn't a good idea.

Though she kinda liked that hard glint in his eyes. Maybe he wasn't completely useless anywhere besides behind a mike.

With slow, careful moves, Kazumi flicked the safety back on, pulled the firearm back from the blue-haired boy's head, then pushed off his back to rise to her feet despite the pull on her hair. She arched a fine brow at the man, the silent 'Happy now?' implied as she holstered the weapon back at the small of her back. "Ukita Kazumi, of Shugotenshi Personal Security at your service, Shiranui-sama. I do apologize for the misunderstanding. We were told you were here alone...not with another one of your ah...friends."

Tomas giggled at that, though he did rub at his back where her knee had been as he crawled his way into a sitting position on the floor. His blue eyes were very wide, and he wondered if he'd be allowed to just skitter away. Since he wasn't sure, he just fidgeted with the collar of his shirt, put on his best 'I'm being abused' pout.

Genma looked from Tomas back to the newcomer, frowned at her. "Another one of my...?" He sighed, the hard look fading away in favor of something more tired than anything. "No, no, it's not like that. But Tomas is my friend, and if you intend to 'bodyguard' me, you'd better as hell stop attacking everyone, because there are children around here, and if you so much as scare them, I'm going to rip your head off, got it?"

Violent, so violent. He hated feeling that way. And it wasn't like he was in danger, not here.

Kazumi's smile was sharp, fierce, and lacked any sense of intimidation at Genma's words. Her golden eyes were serious as she stated deceptively soft. "We're not in a third world country, Shiranui-sama, I don't expect the reason I was hired to use children to get to you... though... hm..." If he knows how dear to you these children apparently are, they might be in danger as well. "Nevermind."

She smirked coldly at Genma then, reached up to pat his cheek. "You're kinda cute when you're all spun up, but I hate to break it to you - I'm here to protect the back this kid was trying to jump. Therefore my orders don't come from you...we clear Nightingale?"

Genma glared at the woman, not appreciating her words or her apparent idea that it was appropriate to touch him. He leaned back, not quite willing to step backward and feel like he'd lost ground.

"Just don't expect me to make your job easy, because I sure as hell don't want or need you here," he said. "And, actually, why don't I just call my manager right now and -"

"Not here, Gen." A tanned hand slapped over Genma's mouth as Iruka stepped up beside his friend, dark eyes meeting golden ones steadily. "Ukita-san, I'm Umino Iruka, owner of the hotel. If you would please move this conversation to a more private location, say my office, Both Genma and I would greatly appreciate it."

His other hand reached down to Tomas, to help the young man up, as he added dryly. "My staff has spent years keeping his time here private, therefore I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't attempt further violence against them - or Genma won't have the chance to get to you. Woman or not, I will brook no harm to my boys in my house."

(OOC: This is in the main lobby, so anyone can be there to see it go down, have fun with it!)

So I'm supposed to just hang up my mask - indefinately?! What kind of bullshit is that? One fuck up, one mission...and for what?

To be told I'm taking a 'vacation'.

Fuck those people. They can take that gods-damned eval and shove it up their ass. I'll even help.

OOC: About Raidou (Feb 09!)

  • Feb. 3rd, 2009 at 5:19 AM
rai's dogtags
Basic Info:

AGE: 24

ANBU designation: Boar, has been for the past six years.

Family: Has one surviving sister out of three - Sumire. She's two years younger than him and lives in the family's home, whereas he lives in HQ. His father and eldest sister died in the last ninja war and his mother and fraternal twin sister both died on missions.

Special Note: Rai is pre-scarring, (though if I have time he may not remain that way)

Personality: He's a little quiet, though not shy. He's just as confortable in a club or bar as he is curling up in bed with a good book; and has an easy, laid-back calm that is hard to disturb - with a temper to match. While his fuse may be long, his anger can be downright explosive once provoked

He tends to hold things in...wants, desires, frustration, and pain...and will continue to do so until he either breaks (sometimes softly, other times completely) or someone forces them out. It's not intentional...he just doesn't see the need to burden his friends with his problems, after all - most of them have their own issues to deal with!
